The race winning E30 M3 Sport Evo took 25 years & the other race winning E9 CSL too took over 40 years. Enjoy it today, the value of the memory is priceless. |

"some say it has sth to do with race pedigree and all that with the RS and GT3 due to le mans, Carrera cups etc and the CSL had no real homologated series. but I find that is a little bit odd as its not like we are all buying Cup cars".
I think the race pedigree has something to do with it, certainly applied back in 2007 when I bought my 968CS, I was also considering a E30 sport evolution and a Sierra RS500 at the time all similary priced withing a few £k. Went for 968CS as it was best handling. Now 968CS worth mid twenties abnd the other two are well north of £50k. Investment wise i wish i had gone for the E30 Shawn |

I think this all depends on the drivers commitment. Both great cars & as E46CSL said - Enjoy it today, the value of the memory is priceless.
