I think it was Super Sprint that played around with

0.8mm side wall thickness Inconnel Headers,

Hence the need to contain the exhaust
heat as much and where ever possible.

On a street/track car, then under bonnet
temps will be down some, but as to if

If I was selling Coatings, then of course it
would assist in making more power,
better exhaust scavange, lower oil
temps, and so on.

As I am not, then my personal view is
that its just another product being used
in Motorsport under totally different
conditions and circumstances, which is now
offered and sold to the public at large on
the basis F1 / Motorsport has it, and the
leemings as always will follow.

A drop in ambinet under bonnet temp by say
20 degrees will do nothing at all to your
oil temp when static, even less at full chat.

Have you datalogged this, or is it just your "opinion".

At times, i think there are benefits, then I think there are none.
With regards to your quote re the ambient temps.
Tesco say that every little helps.

It'll make next to no difference the oil temps. There are slight benefits as outlined by The Gorilla. I have a fair amount of experience with ceramic coated exhausts as we use them a lot on the cars we work on but that is only because of the close proximity of carburettors/fuel lines, etc. They help a lot with fuel percolation issues. The issue is fairly well illustrated in the following picture, although this is before we coated the manifold.

I'd be more inclined to used ceramic coating on turbochaged road cars but less so on N/A.

Hey Fellas!

The M3 is running strong as ever! The headers are good, the Evolve Airbox is better, but what I am need of now, without breaking the bank, is a set of CSL cams!

If ANYONE can help a friend from across the pond acquire a set of good CSL cams, I would be MOST Grateful!!
