Went to look at my first CSL - some questions

Are the marks on the rear seats on the seat backs or on the seats or both? If the seat back is dropped it will come into contact with the rear seat belt fixing point, pushing it out of the way and in consequence can cause damage to both elements of the seat.

Backs of the front seats are too easily scuffed, the general consensus is to have a CF skin fabricated and attached using 3M double sided, over the existing to afford a little more protection also visually it would be more in keeping with the interior.

Numerous threads have been done regarding these issues and the possibilities are being considered. 'Mark CSL' with carbon trims, 'NZ_M3' with CF rear console and 'gazzzar' has undertaken a repaint of certain elements, but if I'm not mistaken these threads may confined to the 'Members' section and may not be accessible to all register contributors.

Image attached for info, but clearly shows the seat belt anchor points, and gives a good indication of the scuffing that could occur if the seat backs were to be dropped, without them tucked away in their pockets.

i spoke to nick before buying my car from a private chap he was really helpfull and a nice bloke but i felt the cars were well used and not really looked after, why would somone sell there car to nick and not sell it private ???
basicaly they use them hard and dont really look after them with love then nick takes them tarts up the paint work and the front flippers uses them for a few weeks / months and sells them on with a mark up on top.
dont get me wrong im not saying they are all bad but that what i saw when i went there.

i agree to some extent. i bought my 1st csl off NJ, 10K 2004 £38K, it was a 1 owner and mint. that said i've looked at more than 6 examples at NJ since and they were all in need of TLC-
some examples of faults-
cracked screen(major)
front flipper damage/missing
csl alloys requiring refurb
very tired paintwork

these are minor but premium tarrifs should reflect the cars overall condition. NJ is a decent chap no question but he is in the csl business for economic reasons. i think most of us are much more emotionally attached to dear cesil /SG or SB(slower one!!)

There's probably a bit of supply vs demand influence on this too - the greater the demand, the less effort is needed to shift stock. Demand certainly seems to have gone up quite a bit in 12 months.
