As Mark says. They will still provide warranty and all that it covers, they just won't cover any mods or non-BMW upgrades. eg brakes/exhaust/suspension.
And Welcome!!!!

Hi Jon,
You should be able to get BMW cover - and dont worry about your upgrades, as they're classed as 'wearing parts' so wouldnt be covered by any warranty anyway. |

I renewed my lapsed BMW warranty today after some careful consideration - in part due to my recent alternator failure just outside the old warranty period!
I had to take a 'one-off' premium increase of almost £200 but with 4 trips to Europe planned this year as well as several UK track days, i feel the cover offers peace of mind with the additional benefit of European breakdown cover. Next year the premium falls in line with the usual rate. Comprehensive cover, including breakdown, £100 excess: £1029 I now hope to renew again so long as my car is under the 60k miles limit, as that's when the prices almost double for less cover! After that i will lapse again. My car is currently at 49k miles. Like Mark, i just need to submit a couple of claims to recoup my outlay before the cover lapses again!

GD, the 60K thing seems to have disappeared from the website. Is that definite? I had my fingers crossed that it was all the same to 100K!

Noticed that too Nords, there's no mention of it on the renewal letter I received. It reads as if its the same all the way too 100k.

I think it's still there.
Many many months ago I did the tests on the warranty website. I got quotes at mileages of 59,000 and 61,000 and there was a big difference IIRC. It was ages ago though - give it a go. |

Just renewed my warranty that i had stupidly allowed to expire.
I took Comprehensive cover inc Breakdown £0 excess £1179. I thought it was wise with all the trackdays i do. |
