I have driven my nuts behind my back to follow that CSL.

CSL was modded. Driver had more then 1000 laps behinds it s belt. This CSL was for sure faster. But a 1M with the same pilot sport cups could keep up with an original CSL. There is not much in it. Believe me.

1M chassis/suspension/steering is awesome it s better then the CSL out of the box. But engine wise the CSL is unbeatable.

Well an M3 GTS (with proper tyres, brakes, suspension, cage etcetera) is 1sec faster than a stock CSL so can't see how an 1M with cups can beat the CSL @ the Ring.

Also read in the BMWblog that you don't believe the 7m50s that Von Saurma did with a stock CSL.

Shall we assume that all sportauto laptimes are incorrect or just the ones we don't like ?

It would be interesting to try to follow a fast CSL driver, i.e. T$

exactly what does 1000 laps mean anyway? just that he knows his way round...

its no indication of talent or willingness to 'push on' plus it could have been his first lap of the day after a year off.....

1M will never, ever achieve 7.50 on cups.

It does 8.22 iirc on road tyres.

I done 8.10 btg on my approx 15th lap of the ring, that was with passenger and traffic too. And on far far too soft springs.

Pah.....race drivers, 1000 laps experience, my arse.
