Let's put it this way, i didn't think it was fast and i stood at the end of the pit straight and it didn't seem any quicker than the CSL's and not as fast as the V10 M5.

The owner told me it was running with 540BHP, after talking to him and seeing it run on track a Supercharger has been crossed off my wishlist

There is absolutely no way that was running 540bhp! If it was he was using half throttle. Looks like the installation CA offer, made in USA. ESS system is far better and doesn't throw belts. Only have to look at the "Loaded CSL" to see what a real 550bhp supercharger system does.

I followed him for a few laps in the morning - he pulled away a little on the main straights but i did the CSL classic reel-in ounder braking!

No supercharger for me either...

Yeah but how many engines did they go through? And how much money?

IMO you're mad to SC an S54 engine, just my opinion of course.

I would not do it to a CSL but the M3 is crying out for 1 and the belt thing must be down too it not fitted right or the SC is out of line for it to eat belts

They have great sucsess in the USA with them i have seen 800RWHP on some M3s State side.

Its just an idea at the moment but watch this space

Just want to say huge thanks for the warm welcome yesterday at Donnington, and particularly to Rob who took me round.

I couldn't drive owing to a funeral in the morning, but the variety of nice machinery and indeed weather more than made my afternoon visit worthwhile.

CSL ownership (hopefully) starts this Friday once BMW have given the prospective car a clean bill of health.

Best
