This is precisely the kind of thread topic that I was expecting to see when I sold my CSL a few months ago. Gah. At least the GTR is holding its value steady.

What I would say, a few months on and being without the CSL but with the GTR, is that the CSL is definitely a summer car. It was about this time last year that I relished getting mine out of storage and really ponceing about in it.

The CSL is awesome.

However it is better as 2nd or 3rd car, a bit akin to the 996GT3 (not the 6RS) in value/attractiveness/useability.

If you have to pay to store it and pay for a warranty, need to provide at least £2k to £3k per annum in standing costs and relate that cash cost versus annual mileage/appreciation.

I like it here.
If you had bought the faster colour it would have been £25k.

When is that?

Perhaps BMW's 100th celebrations next year will give it some publicity and a boost.

The more people are concerned about values going up, the less they enjoy their cars.

If you want a car that will yield monetary benefit, a Porsche/Ferrari is a better bet. BMW's are for driving today.

I'm old.

I don't like going fast.
