One of that age would be a 4.3 wouldn't it ? They're certainly no faster than a CSL, if that has any bearing on your decision - which means these days a 335i probably gets pretty close on performance.

Don't care if it's .3 or 10mph faster or slower that's not the point

I've had a heap of fun in it, it's too harsh for the day to day duties I do in it, only because I've one too much and the clubsport KWs with race struts etc are superb for track ...but I'd rather be in my race car in a race than do track days now, true what people say once you've started racing and been in a full on series on slicks .. Any road car seems a tad ordinary ..

Hence the thought process of something fast / comfortable and useable .. And the Vant is a little bit diff not too many about ... Just an idea I'm bouncing around anyway..

Didn't drive one today, booked in tomorrow

Hmmm .. That was the original plan keep CSL another year .. Just buy RRS when CSL is all paid up .. Keep CSL forever .?

Ive got to say Daz, I drive shitters day to day and when I jump in the CSL it does give me that grin factor, I think day to day it would get to me.
