So how much weight would a carbon boot or bonnet save?

Not a lot, as the boot skin is carbon and the bonnet Alloy. Remove air con & Xenon is easier. T$

But how would you pull the old "I had to wash my windscreen" trick John?

Why? Most find AP's more than enough on a CSL. They won't fade for sure.

It is, and if you were building a racecar fine. But you honestly won't need more than AP's with the right pad/disk combination for a TD car and especially at Ring.

Actually the factory boot lid is all FRP and it's freaking heavy - I have one in the closet and I can tell you that it was surprisingly heavy when I picked it up. You'd easily shave at least half the weight off one by going full single skin carbon fibre with no internal support structure. Just don't mount any spoilers on it instead mount it to the rear chassis rails

Wheels, lighter seats and BBK - that'd be all for me. I think too much weight taken off would upset the car's balance....

Also you would want to try and keep the near 50:50 weight distribution.
How weight you reckon needs to go to match the GT3 or GT3RS power to weight ratio? Only 10kg between the cars it seems. Obviously harnesses help and Aero

SO I have SS back box and battery and now suspension and recaros go in, cage goes in and rear seats go out. I'm curious the difference maybe I should let garage weight it before and after so we see some real data.
btw I also lost 10kg on driver weight reduction which I got for free |
