anyone use a mac? - Page 3

I have unix background in my work... but as a desktop I use strictly Windows (and FreeBSD).
If you know what you are doing, they work very well.
On the other hand, I hate the last 2 years the policies of Apple.. by having a black box on everything and you need to buy almost everything from them.
They were advertising that Microsoft was doing that... but now, they are worse than Microsoft.

thanks very much gents, good to get a few more opinions, the general concensus is that most are more than happy with Mac's so im gonna do it. right i want it now!

I don't work for John Lewis but they seem the best place to purchase MacBooks (it's where I bought my last three)

and U get longer warranty all for less than from Apple Store
