You must have been very lucky and caught them on a good week Bret because Gareth @ Elms (Cambridge ) had to finish and repair what they started and broke on mine
It's perfect now but only thanks to Gareth & Steve for going out of their way for me
BTW have you had a good, close look at your CSLs boot repair recently ?

Got to say Matt mine was also spot on, really nice job and still looks new at just over a year old. I regularly stick it over the pit for inspection (force of habit).

Did Cambridge not send their floor repairs to Bedford? Pretty sure that's what I was told when my process kicked off. Its where I was supposed to be done but they were about 6 months behind so I was re booked at Stanstead.

Elms sent mine to Hitchin. Looked a good job when they had finished. Showed me under the car, inside and the cracked section they had cut out. They also sent me photos. That was just over a year ago. Will get Gareth to check it out when it goes in for it's annual oil change.
They also changed front & rear bushes at the same time.

Did they charge you extra for the bushes? I asked to have mine changed when the subframe was being done, I think they wanted an extra £400 from memory. Luckily when it came to it my bushes had already been up rated with Turner MSport bushes prior to my ownership. I've found Bedford to be superb with everything they have done with my cars. The repair on mine is nearly complete and should be getting it back very soon. Luckily I'm only 10 mins from Bedford and have been able to pop in a few times to see how it's coming along.

Not good with the boot floor from the OP, I'd be surprised if Elms didn't put it right for you.

Cambridge doesn't have a body shop so sends everything to Bedford, I was talking to the DP in Cambridge and that’s what he told me. Mine was ‘repaired’ in Bedford.

BMW in Scotland quoted £4,440.05 to put it right, that includes dropping the running gear, cleaning and resealing the entire boot floor inside and out. I have passed that quote to Bedford and await their comments on Tuesday.

The technical manager for BMW Scotland and Ireland is also coming to look at the sub-standard repair.

Its getting fixed regardless, just interested to see if Elms are going to take ownership....

They only charged me for the parts, which, I thought was a good deal.

Default subframe repair

Mine was done @ Bedford in July 2013

Really pleased with the job

However I haven't checked the boot since.

After reading the thread I don't want to!!!

Inspection 2 coming up in a week or so. Sir Gareth of Bartlettshire will have a shufty.

Sounds like Elms are willing to pay for the boot floor to be fixed properly. Good news but I would be happier if it was perfect first time round. Also, it wasn't outsourced.
