From my experience in rural france the day after a 600 mile drive it sounds like a starter fault. just hope you get sorted quicker than I did because youll be there another week if not. Warranty with breakdown, at least BMW assist will sort you a car if so.

Just heard from Baz, he is on the go again and collected the car yesterday and im glad to report the CSL is back to full health after fitting a new starter motor.
 Shame it happened but its one of those things you would never see coming. |

We've all been there (I was stuck in Belfort for three days last year awaiting a brake caliper bolt), gutting at the time but feels good when you eventually pull off again with a fit car ! |

Probably been asked before but..... can you "bump start" our cars if the starter packs up??? Only I'm off to Ring in August so might take a starter with me as a spare (I work as a parts manager so can "borrow" 1 for a week and return it if not required).
