Just took delivery yesterday of my new f30 320d sport. I'm delighted with it, nice contrast to the csl and will be a nice everyday car, hopefully anyway!!

I have a 996 GT3 for occasional trips out (Waitrose ) and alternating with the CSL for track days and a 2006 Mini GP (supercharged) for a general run about. Mrs Pip has a Cooper.
The GP was brought into replace my 1999 M5, 400bhp of loveliness which was t boned by an old biddy pulling off her drive, driving forwards believe it or not. Anyway the car was written off and despite the fact that I could have repaired her with some jiggery pokery outside of insurance through BMW Mrs Pip said I should stop wasting money on an old car. The GP was bought as a more economical run about but it is too easy to do the same sort of mpg with a supercharged car and Porsche/BMW bait . No 'diseasels' for me thank you. Pip |

I was looking for an Impreza Wagon as an all-year runabout. But couldn't find one that didn't have 'issues'.
Settled for a '05 Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDI estate. Small, frugal, torquey, practical body shape and very cheap to fix. It's got 14" steel wheels and it's brilliant and being crap enough that we don't care about it. No worries about theft, scratches, or kerbing etc. Winter tyres for it are £35 each |
