I agree, AP discs are good if you don't use ds2500 on track.
I think wear is 2mm so 3mm skim sounds like pants. (I may be wrong)

'sailorbaz has just bought an AP BBK and sold the DS2500 pads that came with the kit, in preference for a set of RS29's, they're good all round pads for both road and track.
As regards the set on PH skimmed discs, my 1st question why have them skimmed? You can get deposits off without the need for skimming. One looks as though it's had a whack as the outer edge is deformed, it also says that they are newly painted, if they are less than 3 years old why? Nothing keeps you safer than brakes, personally I would go for new or off a fellow member of the register, that way you know they're right.

I also thought 3mm wear sounded too much. I'll just get new ones and be done with it. Are the RS29s not a bit squealy for everyday use (thought I read that on here somewhere....) |

They're not really suitable for heavy cars and so overheat in hard use. What this does is then leave deposits of brake pad material on the disc surface (visible as black smudges), which then causes disc run-out issues (brake judder). The material can be removed from the discs if caught early enough and no damage is experienced, but if left it can eventually lead to the discs warping due to the fact that the discs do not heat up evenly (the material embedded on the disc preventing disc to pad contact).
