I've had it done on warranty but I don't know what the difference is between old and new (fix). It is a new rear floor pan and I think they do something with the front section, where the mounts/bushes are. Just no idea if its a new design to stop it happening again. I presume it is and if it is, would it be safe to fit one of these safety devices, not that I thinking of fitting one...

I had a look on realoem Steve, and there are 2 part numbers for the rear floor, second one became available in roughly 2006 - and there is a note that the second part is the one to use - I'm taking that as bmwspeak for yep it's changed to make it stronger...

Ah I see...not sure to be honest, I think I'm going to get mine injected as a precaution over the winter, it's not a lot of money.

I'll let you know if the brace breaks my car and it kills me...

Got it for £198+ vat + delivery which is a bargain imho, 4 week lead time though.
Im all for business, but Thorneys price is fucking robbery.

Jen from MSAR used to post on openpitlane.co.uk looks like with good prices like that we should get her over here!
Plus she's a quick chick so may be put Sy back in his box if he got turned over by real girlie rather than just shimmy/lawsy in drag

I haven't come across a girl that can drive! & if shes faster than me I will pack up & never be seen again

As Harry Enfield once said "Women for god's sake, don't drive"
