Yup ... first prize to Matt for the detective work .. Shane and I kinda knew who would uncover the plot
Yes, is with much sadness im now not a CSL owner, but glad it's stayed on here, and gone to someone I know who's gonna continue to use it, as it's deffo not a garage queen, and needs tracking Must admit when I got up early yesterday morning to give her one last clean, was with a little lump in throat, and when shane burbled down my road heading home in it was gutted .. But had a load of fun and great trips, picked it up on 30k ish and passed her on at 90k ish in around 3.5 years off ownership.. Will still be doing ring trips, but on the hire / RSR whilst wafting down in the new machine. And off course as the CSL reg Lifestyle Coach and Social Secretary, you wont be rid of me that easily ! We now have a CSL register support Vehicle ;-)

Hi Lawsy,
So the trip to the Dark side endeth for now. I would expect that with 100k on it and all up togethere, it will go very well. Block now all de-stressed, everything all honed in and ready for right foot inputs. I would have wiped the head off, if its not been done in the last 20k, de-coked it, checked the valve guides etc light skim, new Gaskets and I bet it will be very responsive and pull very well. On the Tank- Tyres apart, would like to know your thoughts of the E92 M3, as a chassis, as it does have the multi link rear, and a lot of the components are alloy, front subframe included. At 1600 even 1500 kg's its unbalanced in that its weight transfer per axle must be considerable at load, but down near 1350 or say 1300kg then with more O/A Track width up front, and say 450 BHP which is an easy real world gain power wise, I keep thinking a CSL would be second best. S65 in the E46 is nice but, the boat anchor R T Arms would have to go and then you would be in the pound seats. When you have a spare five would really like to hear your opinion on the ''TANK'. Many thanks, Regards, The Gorilla. |
