Welcome chaps. Funny how a small ride in a CSL makes you go all silly and want one.
I keep thinking about a 7GT3 or RS and probably will one day. But in the real World and current economic climate I feel the CSL does a good 90% of the job but stays nicely under the radar attention wise. You can choose exactly when and where to strategically unleash the noise.

you can renew a lapsed warranty on this csl as it has a full service history. It will cost you a little more in the first year to renew, i think its around £900 fully comp, but well worth it as most on here will agree.

what id like to do is go for a ride in a csl with a spotless smg, so i know how its supposed to feel when i go and test drive them.
i suppose if i dont do this i may get a lumpy box and not realise it..? does anyone live local to wilmslow/macclesfield/stockport etc |

Found this on another M3 forum.I'm unsure as to 'how' serious BMW took to cars without the 1200 mile service done but my CSL didn't have it until 2000 miles. When I bought the car from a main dealer, I got a letter from the BMW UK saying that they would maintain the full manufacturers warranty and subsequently the extended warranty. The DP was using the car from day 1 and 'forgot' to hand it in for the service which I find a bit bizarre but there you go.
I have had no problems with any warranty work regarding my car in the 25K miles and nearly 4 years I have owned it. Regarding the Engine, I've had the Vanos unit replaced once but feel that this is nothing to do with the lack of 1200 mile Warranty. Just my experience, that's all. I know come selling time, it might put a few people off but...am I thinking of selling anytime soon? Am I ****? Last edited by Bounce; 09-07-2011 at 08:00 PM. |
