I agree about rear heat, but should be ok at Donny, just need to drove it harder earlier and be heavy on the brakes to build up heat asap.
If you get twitchy rear end the tendency is to ease up but this just makes it worse as it lessens heat

Its a big old back tyre he is running. And probably on the same camber as his narrower tyres. Only way to find out is to try. |

I feel pretty sure I could find a couple of seconds. I found it strange to adapt to braking for the last chicane as well. Couldn't quite nail the brakes the way I should because your now braking over the slight hump, and that was slightly unsettling.

I found i had to concentrate on the braking zone before the last chicane too and almost out braked myself a few times as it comes up on you that little bit quicker than it used too on the old layout.

Looking back through, my best lap was 1min 24.2 earlier in the day, so a 23 may have been on the cards. Should have really taken some instruction. I will next time.

had a fantastic day, nice to meet alex, rob and brett
have to say i was finding exactly the same as everyone else - problems with rear grip - lots of twitchy moments. had a huge tankslapper after schwantz - thought someone was letting me through but closed the door and a brake and a lift off at the same time left huge double s marks up the hill wondered if it was cause my rear cups are an '03 vintage but sounds like everyone having the same probs getting some video sorted on youtube, will post some links when get it done conleth |

Well done guys nice vid's I see what you mean the cups dont seem to be hooking up too well was it a bit cold? Not 100% sure if the new circuit is a bit quicker because the entrance to the s's before start finish now has quite a large raised curb which you dont want to be hitting where with the old circuit you could take a lot of curb and not lose as much speed. But on the new one you do get a better exit, the funny thing is even though you start from further back down the start finish I'm still breaking at the same place - the point of the chevron coming out of the pit lane. The only thing the vid lacked was a bit of disco
