I concur such a shame had a really fantastic time doing the CSL cup in it's first year and the racing the banter the nights in hotels on the beers pre testing .. Qually and race days were awesome.

If it doesn't go ahead, it will be a shame, but it was a long shot from the outset. I personally think branding it based on a CSL was probably wrong, it may have been better to have called it the M3 Challenge (or something similar), so that more people could relate to it. Not many people know what a CSL is, but everyone has heard of an M3. If it had been for M3's only with no engine mods, standard 'box, control suspension system (to stop people spending a fortune in this area) + all the mandatory safety stuff - then I would have certainly taken a serious look at the series.
1 type of car, no classes, fairly simple and cost effective build process and away you go. In fact, now I think about it.......who'd be up for something like that? Last edited by thegingerninja; 07-01-2011 at 11:34 AM. |
