Did you get this set from Italy/Austria that was for sale here ? Or brand new ?
If brand new, can you share the price pls ?

BBS ch 19 x 9,5” et 40 with a 12mm spacer giving et of 28mm with a 265 cup tyre. This will be within 2mm of your KW clubsport springs.

Negative points
You will need to borrow “Glendogs” hairdryer to stop the plastic lining form touch the tyres on full lock.

Maximum speed through the Foxhole is 140MPH, the out tyre hits the front part of the outer front wing.

Slower track time on the Ring and spa due to drag and over steer.

Positive points

Faster lap times on shorter twister circuits

Longevity of the front tyres.

Looks like” Duncan” A little over weight or short fat & round lol

i can understand why the set up might not be ideal for the Ring but cant see why oversteer would produce slower times. Surely the point of oversteer is no different as the rear tyres still have the same grip, its just reducing the understeer making the oversteer the first point of lack of grip, but still therefore at a slightly later point

Is ti the fear of oversteer slowing you down?

You can turn in faster, slower on the power on the exit = steering corrections tyre scubbing + loss of BHP

slower on the exit = slower down the straight = slower times.

Short twisty circuits = short straights nothing lost.

you dont have to turn in faster

if you turn in the same you have less understeer and no greater oversteer so times (from corners) will be the same.

Yes mate

I have yet to mount the wheels but i am looking forward to trying these next year! Hopefully the car will retain the standard car balance without the oversteer effect that TANKSLAPPER mentions as these wheels keep the normal 'staggered' setup of the car as the rears are wider than the fronts

so what the point of driving slower on turn in

wider tyres = more drag less top speed.

square set up is not the fastest way on fast circuit. It just gives you longevity making the fronts last as long as the rears.

The best set up is 245/255 fronts because they fit properly with 285 rears. Then you can just listen to the chassis around the bends creeking and moaning as the g goes through her lol

No V box lite required.
