Oil up to 125

water after 5-6 laps was getting above last mark but before red. My carcwith map, diff etc prob would suffer more with the heat than standard car

although fan was running when engine on I did notice my dan would not run when engine off -ANY IDEAS GUYS?

He was tired? Who is Dan anyway

Did you have A/C on as the fan will run when pressures rise, more so on hot days, could have just been this.

Worrying your water temps running high, mine does not budge even in v hot track days and on your vid you did not seem to thrashing it so to speak, going fast but neice and smooth so I reckon you have a problem again shimmy

Depending on your fuelling it can cause temps to rise. Get your map checked. Leaning out can obtain power but also raise combustion temps due to det, which if timing/vanos is played with can occur. Caused by ignition advancing in many cases.

Engines that have too much det tend to over heat because of the heat transfer from combustion chamber to cylinder head and then to the coolant. It starts to overheat. the hotter the engine the more it dets. More det more it overheats. Snowball effect.

As I say my coolant temp does not move.

My oil gets up to 125* but my coolant stays at approx 12 o'clock and does not budge all day, even out for 20 min stints.

I know all cars are different very slightly but you would think they would be the same and run the same temps. I cannot see how the lack of A/C on my car would make it run cooler. (thinking out loud)

I do think something is amiss with yours as the rising coolant temp is not good shimmy and could cause you another headgasket to go or worse.
