Good idea, shame to have to swap out the 4.1 your running again though (if I'm right in saying that's the one you've got in there at the mo)?

Before removing the diff Shim, jack up the rear, both wheels clear of ground, axle stands thank you please for safety, or 2 piles of £50 notes !! .. and run it then under no load and see what it sounds like.

Does the noise go away when you turn the radio volumne right up ?

I forgot to go out with you for a listen, sorry shimmy.

Swap your diff out to eliminate that.

Then process of elimination. Possibilities..... diff, bearing, driveshaft.

The drive shaft will make a clicking, light knocking if joint worn.

I've twice had a speed related clicking (quite loud too) from the front wheels and on both occasions it was due to worn out wheel bearing.
