Good service from BMMiniparts, arrived a couple of days later - saved a trip to the stealers

mine all done and sorted but exhaust sitting too high up now, as I didnt have time to hang around and get it sorted, so its rubbing on the rear diffuser on and off... so back on the 24th to be tweaked as when it was up saw that the diff seal is leaking so going to changed in readiness for the ring / spa trip

Shit weather this weekend but the touring car's from brands is good to watch

So wanna do that at some point in the future , shit now ive done a season racing ... miss it more now i watch it needing sponsorship and cash solutions please

Sytner Ascot on Sat AM, know a couple of the boys in the workshop so they chucked it on for me for a drink, but I was in a rush and couldnt hang around.

Think as the rubbers are brand new its pulled it up a lot more, so probably needs some washers to give it a bit more or a gap whilst still being tight.

Will try and live with it till it goes in for the diff seal on the 24th as they said they will play with it then ..

Cheers Daz

I did a bit of DIY in the garage when it started to hail today. Managed to strip off the final rubber mount which was knackered so I need to order one for delivery next week.

Also had a go at dropping the SS back box a little but it really needs more adjustment than I can see me getting do that can wait.

Finally whilst in the mood I striped off a few other broken bits like the two little mud flaps in front of the rear wheels which had split, the finger guard for the radiator fan which had broken at Snett (I guess something had hit it), had a go at the heat shield at the rear which since fitting the SS box and getting subframe done had started to rattle and also removed the front number plate and holder which is coming loose.

Then i took to bits the BMW wheel centre caps which come to bits to 3 pieces as the BMW bit looked shite.

I've got a few bits to buy somewhere now..........

Bit of DIY today then Shim

With regards to the SS adjustment... on the exhaust hangers on the backbox there are slots, so you might be able to move the backbox up/down using those. (see below)

Also if one side sits lower than the other you should be able to adjust according to this site: http://www.klangford.com/ssraceinstall.htm - worth a read.

Or if you still can't do it, take it somewhere to get it done for you

Cheers Rich, I saw that once I'd taken one side off and was gonna go it when I put the new rubber in BUT my SS box also seems to site further under my car than most (so far you can't see the top of the tips at all) bit I can see an easy way to pull it further out?
