How is that toast? That happens on the standard E46 M3s when guys run way too large front swaybars ...

It's a piss easy fix.

Craig, either the standard of panel beating in the UK's shocking or you are speaking to the wrong people. I've shown pictures of your car to the top panel beaters here and they've all said it's VERY repairable ... man I wish that car was here - I'd have snapped it up already.

Afraid though with all the surrounding costs, this car is simply not viable to rebuild so I have 100% come to the conclusion I am breaking it for bits, I'm that sure I started last night.

Front panel, wings, radiators and headlights (or whats left) has all been removed and so has the airbox.

Whilst I respect your decision I do find it a shame that you had to venture down this route for a special car.

If you weren,t too fussed (for which I know you actually are) then this car could technically have been rebuilt using some replica parts - eg. the front bumper for example, would have costed you about 1/5 of the real deal - similarly with the rear diffuser ect.

The panel and chassis work whilst extensive, to me it wouldn't be financially uneconomical - but I am basing this assumption on local panel pricings rather than what it might cost over there.

There was a CSL here locally a couple of years back that was rolled 3 times into a ditch (by a mechanic on a joy ride) and that car was inspected and deemed rebuildable (via 2 methods, current shell or with a new shell) - but BMWNZ decided to tag the original chassis and would not supply parts if the original chassis was to be rebuilt - they insisted on a reshell - the rebuilt project was then pulled and the car destined for parts - a real crying shame.

Good luck with it all Craig - hope you get another later once all this mess is sorted.
