I'm into MTBs so can't offer advice on a road bike, but make sure you get fitted for the size. Different makes are different sizes, as with clothes shops...

Cyclists - advice?
Yep, if you miss them with the front wing, carry a passenger so they can get them with the door! |

Hi Bryce, this is what I do for a living so if I can be of any help don’t hesitate to give me a shout, pm me or drop me a line to jonathan@ciclisport.com though I'll be away mountain biking in Scotland until Monday.
englebert has gave you excellent advice, size is top priority & can differ from manufacture to manufacture. Triple chainsets are not as popular as once were, I do see the reasoning why some people opt for them but the majority of bikes we sell with a triple when returned for a service the granny ring is normally sitting mint-unused. Those who want/need a lower gear ratio a compact chainset is the best option. I’ll post a few examples from the other end of the scale that I have completed in the last 4-6 weeks ranging from £4500.00 to £8000.00 but we cater for all budgets. By the way Bryce, did you hear anything about a CSL racing a Scooby on the Dumfries bypass about 3-4 weeks ago, think it was a 2door? |
