PS: I should also confess that I've put down an LOI for a new 991 GT3 RS, which I don't dream that Porsche will sell to me (given that they are such sniffy wankers about how they treat their customers for new GT3s generally), but let's see.

I've done the same for the Cayman GT4, but am not hopeful. I'm also on the list for an M2 GTS... I'm likely to buy a GT3 shortly I think. I don't mind how little I use it as it only weekends regardless of the car. Four sets would be nice but am looking at the CS. Am also considering one from Europe to buy better... Understand entirely your points re value and enjoyment but its a scratch I need itch. Not sure how much 'better' it'll be over the CSL but we'll see. I have a buyer lined up for the CSL already do we'll see...

I thought all GT3s were 2 seats. They were type approved as 2 seats so adding an extra 2 could cause insurance issues. I have not verified this, just thought I would make you aware.

Just read that article .. Think he must of read my thread !
This situation seems a little odd to a chap who lost the thick end of £10k in one year on a 997 GT3 gen 1 between spring 2010 and 2011.

JZM told me they could retro-fit rear seats and seat belts into a GT3 Comfort, which would suit my purposes. In any case, it's all academic now. To console myself about the possible lack of value increase I would have seen with a GT3, I got downpipes fitted to my GTR so that it spits flame

You could have managed that by simply changing the fuelling in the map. Its an easy fix for a mapper who know what they're doing... Would have saved yourself quite a bit I'd have thought, but the larger bore pipes will move exhaust gas quicker which means better bhp generally...

Plus I wanted the car to be ready to accept larger turbos (ie. stage 4.5) if I decided to upgrade. As it is, the car is way faster than I am as a driver. I'm planning on some CAT training as my next upgrade. |

Have heard one on full chat in 2nd gear. God knows how fast it was moving by then, but the noise... Oh...my...lord.
To this day, I haven't heard anything so bonkers. Even the CSL...
