Nooooo don't sell !
You are the main reason I went out and bought one and it's sad to see you selling.

Unless it's for a really good reason...??

Hello Mark

Glad you’re still living the CSL dream, and its nice to think that I was the main reason for you taking the plunge, i do recall bending your ear about how good a car they are, over the most vile Easyshite coffee (its was early in the morning) to Innsbruck.

The reason for selling is ive got a big fat 997 turbo itch

having come from a 996 turbo which was modded to approx 520bhp, i'll say once the initial novelty of the acceleration has worn off you'll be pineing for a car that you can have fun with and is enjoyable to drive ...

Now I'm a massive Porsche fan, but a turbo is an impressive, quick, no drama cross country point to point car

A csl or GT3 ius far more entertaining and will leave a smile on your face

I think that's why Titan sold his 997 GT2 RS.

CSLSuperFan, you are probably right there. A GT3 RS is also on my want list but as Trawler says prices are running away. Although it is the start of the track season there are very few 996 GT3 (Trawler - PH cheapest at £40,000 !) and even less RS around. I think the consensus and hope is that prices will stabalise of fall when Porsche sort out the failed conrods on the new 991 GT3s.

Go £29,000-£30,000 with the AP set up.

You have the best of both worlds csl & gt3. How much better is the rs over the gt3? The mrs still remembers being driven in a gt3 by a pro in the poring rain passing everything with zero visibility.

I have only been in a 996 GT3 RS for a test drive before getting the GT3. I did not want to get tied down by long term finance. To be honest the RS is more track orientated and probably less comfortable for a long infiltration to track but unfortuanately for it is like having second best.

The day I got the GT3 my wife said that I would not be happy and although I am I am also not if you know what I mean.

I am not sure of the full specification but suspension is different, gear ratios, plastic rear screen and a few other adjustments to help on track.

There is someone on here with a CSL and 997.1 GT3 RS.

put the car up for £29,995. one with 80k miles sold for £28k recently.

whatever you do ensure no one can find out on here what you paid for the car or you will have buyers telling you what the car is worth based on what you bought it for 12-24 months ago!!!

obviously people forget the market has moved 20-25% like the housing market plus its demand outstripping supply. plus its a crime for you to make any money on a car too (even though you had the cash at the time to buy it when others did.....)
