1M numbers, if anyone is interested. 4 times as many cars as the CSL, but retaining values so well.
From M Registry, UR91 (European-spec, LHD): 4,155 produced 03/2011 through 06/2012 UR92 (European-spec, RHD): 1,204 produced 03/2011 through 06/2012 UR93 (North American-spec, LHD): 983 produced 03/2011 through 12/2011 of the 1204 RHD Euro spec cars UK got 450 units How Many left shows 389 as at Q2 2013, with 11 SORN for same period. I had no idea they made that many. To put it into perspective for me, that's 60% more than they built of the 3.8 E34 M5 over a 4 year period

In all, a total of 1,370 E46 M3 CSLs were produced to European specification between June and December of 2003 in both left-hand drive (841 built) and right-hand drive (529 built) configuration.
(This figure however does not include more than a dozen pre-production prototypes that were built between September of 2002 and June of 2003.) Of the 529 RHDs 125 were SB and 404 SG, no special colours were available, you had to take it or leave it! As can be seen a rare beast, just in case anyone wanted to know
