This is incredibly sad news
I met Angus and his late father Mike (who also sadly passed away earlier this year) a good few years ago at a PCGB track day @ Castle Combe. Mike was in a bright red SL65 AMG and Angus in his splendid SG M3 CSL. The noise & pace Angus displayed that day in his Cecil was mighty and has stayed with me ever since. In fact this was one of the major reasons why I bought my own CSL. R.I.P. Angus & Mike (his dad)

He was a man who loved cars and loved speed equally.
After a Thorney BBq a few years ago we left MK to drive to Silverstone and I can honestly say he dropped 3 of us on the A5 in about 1/4 mile and never came off the throttle until the roundabout 5 miles away (in his 6RS), leaving me and Nords and Chalkie trailing behind way out of sight. Again in France on the way to Monza we left Calais (20 cars) all agreed to take it easy so not to attract the attention of the Gendarmerie.3 miles later I distinctly remember the air wave that came up behind and past me as Angus was hitting top speed after being 100% throttle all the way from the off ramp! Lastly,on getting pulled by the Swiss rozzers (15 of us), only 3 cars got let off speeding and Angus was one of them. The first two were let off as they had no front number plate and the Swiss said they couldn't prove it was them and Angus got let of as he was so close up the arse of one of our cars in front, the Swiss police camera couldn't get a picture of his front plate. Here he is smirking in 2008 in the same layby, and I'd like to think he is up there smirking at all this hullabaloo being caused at his passing. RIP goose.

Jesus. Very sad news. He was a proper hero/headcase in a car.
done a few ring trips and track days with him in the early days of the csl. He was always a pleasure and never a chore to be around. What a giggle!! he got into some club racing in e36 m3s, promptly broke the field in the first race, was mental fast then broke the car! Was on the ponce the parts :-) i love that story about the Swiss police and they could not read his plate. Brilliant. RIP fella.

Very, Very Sad news. I met Angus back in 2003 when he organised a CSL track day at Castle Combe, just after we had all purchased our cars. I have also had the pleasure to race with Angus and he was an absolute star in any car he got behind the wheel of. A very funny, generous and friendly gentlemen.
RIP |
