I think the standard CSL exhaust is perfect!
Would maybe do the cats and a re map a some point but not really bothered! |

I wouldn't have bothered doing mine knowing what i know now...
The £2k would have been much better put towards my APs - these really do improve the CSL |

I love the standard note, but would be good to hear some aftermarkets.
Brakes will come first for me though. |

I've fitted a Miltek BB only, the rest standard CSL and can confirm I still have the rasp, which is bang on what I was after.
I did have the 'Unsilenced SS X-Pipe' with a GruppeM and fcuk me it was noisy in and out the cabin. Went back to standard 'X-pipe' but still too noisy so got a new BB from TMS and its perfect for me. Each to thier own though but yes, I believe the rasp is from the 'X-Pipe' Spanner - Works - Stand back... |

I had a miltek fitted to one of my M3's a few years ago - kept it on for 2 weeks. its was embarrising.
the only exhaust mod i would do on my CSL is cat's, center section and poss manifold. |

I have a gruppe m It's not a daily driver so the noise isn't a problem. But personally I love the boomy spluttery noise it makes. Especially when you first start it up - my neighbours love me
Because I love a bit of noise, I just found that with the standard exhaust, I was always booting it to over 2,500 revs to hear anything which wasn't very sensible and I felt I needed more engine noise at low revs. This is the noise when revving and a launch control. And this is it around town I did my track day with the standard exhaust but I don't think I will do any more in the CSL so the noise issue doesn't worry me and if I do do another track day, I am good friends with my local "M" technician and he would just swap it back to standard for the price of a drink. After my Brands track day I felt I ended up with quite a few more chips out of the paintwork and I personally can't afford to add any damage to the car or its components that a track day usually entails. |

About to do , try some exhausts ... want the Supersprint really , as ive heard that one, and its got the rasp and looks standard ish just wider x4 pipes , so bit more aggressive , dont like the miltek rolled inners look , so waiting for a new tip design that might be coming on those and then decide
Just like the meatier look of the back box , and the deeper ( with rasp ) sound
