A colleague from work skidded on ice a few years back and hit a tree.
He had to pay ~8k CHF for not being in control of his car and going with very high speed (he was doing 50 on a 80 limit, but there was a 10m patch of ice).

A few months back there was a multiple crash in the highway, again due to ice.
All drivers got fines for not being able to control their cars.
A police car also crashed at the scene.

My point is, one thing that is very serious here is driving.
You do something you are not supposed to do with a car, the consequences are severe (foreigners are no exception by the way).

Jon - I think you may get a letter from the authorities saying that they spent 200hours researching your video to find that your average speed was really low, please drive faster next time so they can send you a bill

I doubt they would put much effort into trying to trace a non-Swiss resident - same with the police in this country, they haven't got the resources or man-power to go chasing after non-UK drivers that get camera'd in this country. However, if you're a resident, they will do everything in their power to get you LOL (which appears to be the same with the Swiss authorities).

However, start worrying if EU countries link up driver / registration data bases like they occasionally talk about - but then you still haven't go anything to worry about, as I can't see Switzerland jointing the EU any time soon .

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

Try your luck guys.

Just use Irish plates as we are linked up to nothing due to soo much red tape and back handers, so everyone can use LeinsCSL's reg plate number
