I've not put any oil in it since owning it so I've definately not over-filled it and it didn't lose/use any over the 1100 miles it covered at the recent Euro trip!? ![]() HELP! ![]()

BMW gives this ridiculous amounts for 'warranty' reasons. If the S54 consumes 1lt / 1000km, it is ranked as a 2-stroke engine. Personally I change the oil every 5000 km. As said (I forgot to hunt the technical specification, need to ask my brother), there is a bulletin saying that the dealers need to change the oilservice intervals for S54 powered cars from 25.000km to 12.500km. Guys, I highly recommend you to change the oil very often in the S54 (unless you are Duncan and you change the engine oftenly ![]() Matt, I will poke my brother to send me the bulletin today and then we can all go and push the dealers to do their job ! |
