no busier than most others as they nearly all stick to the same track limits numbers BUT there were some awfully slow cars there
i tend to stick to low laps in the morning and have some fun these days and keep the faster ones when it clears up in the afternoon so no worries - cant do 100-150 laps a day like i used to!

Snetterton Video
I managed finally to get the time to wrap this stuff up.
Below is my data comparison between this years best lap of 1m 19.5s and my previous best in very similar conditions of 1m 21.7s. You can see the improvements AND the areas where i have not done as well possibly meaning there should be some more to gain pretty quickly. Mike's tuition was getting me to brake earlier before the corners than i am used to to give me the stability and confidence to push through the corners much earlier and therefore get a faster speed in the corner and on the following straight. At the end of the day i was then tasked with trying to get the braking point back towards where i previously had it without compromising the speed in the corner. didnt quite get to that point (see orange circles) as you can see but still very pleased with the days work. The below i have a clip of my 3 lap last session of the day, by far the clearest on track and Mike had shot off so i had time to try to string together the laps using my new found 'skidding' :D I managed 3 fastest laps in a row, all below my previous best times - possibly as i was being chased by johnny finfast in his GTR for the last 2 laps (check out the rear view mirror - only) and photographed by angus in his pink shirt jus before the bridge. Then the last clip at the end of the vid is Mike Wilds early in the day taking my car for a workout:hand

Looked like a great day Shim, some interesting data recorded. May have to invest in one of these thingies. Why's the RPM not working?

At Snett the CAN cable hadn't been installed but last Saturday Nathan at RaceDataSystems.co.uk arranged for this to be done at their workshop in 2 hours. Tested and software scenes updated so now I can run one CAN channel of my choice like wheel speeds, throttle positions, rpms, brake trigger etc. If I want more channels you have to buy a small upgrade od the firmware to run 4 channels. I'll do a trial next week and post up the results.

With the 4 CAN channel upgrade (just a firmware update so can be emailed to you Shim) you'd get steering angle, throttle position RPM and one other channel from those available, would make for very detailed driving analysis and some excellent videos :D
Karbon - PM me for discounts You're getting proper fast now Shim, miles quicker than me, get yer license and come testing in my motor so I can see the difference in the logs

Great vid shim, you can even hear the keys chinking, or was that your nipple rings?
The x bow at the end was the really rather quick fiddled one |

It's a great bit of kit and I bet the cost against seconds hand value later when you sell would be very close.

You know who to call Mr Flatout
Just getting a quicker lap in the same car and graphing the time delta between your best and that will instantly show you where you are gaining and losing time, then you can look more closely at those bits et voila - you are quicker than Schumacher

Ivsat my brother down at Bedford at lunchtime and showed him his data and my data and proved pretty quickly that not only was he going slower on the straights (which in his Caterham Academy car you could understand) but also that he was going slower in the corners.
I showed him his corner lines and speed and he saw straight the way what I had been telling him all morning. He picked up 6secs in the afternoon just by convincing him he could get better lines and drive faster round corners.
