I knew I made the right decision, getting rid of my E90 M3 Saloon and replacing it with the 1M.

I actually test drove one yesterday and i must say it's a nice piece of kit - just felt right; gear change, seating position, steering wheel feel & size etc. What really surprised me was how it went, you could hardly hear the turbos - the only give away being lag and changing up at 6kish RPM unlike the s54 screamer...

My test drive was in a build up area with the occasional but "busy" country road so didn't really get to stretch her legs..

Dealer tells me that production may have ended as BMW are no longer taking any more orders - not sure if that was a sales tactic to flog me one of their current allocations....

112 production slots available according to my local dealer yesterday and 7 on the new stock list in UK

1M is awesome bit of kit. Clarkson spot on for once. Refreshing. I'm imagining the car with a small ECU boost tweek. I would be seriously good with 400hp and torque to match.

Every time I dismiss the 1M because I need four doors I spend the next 24 hours finding ways to get around that. I know I want it. It also makes sense financially but............................................... ................... Driving me crazy.

I said in post a while back that the 1M would be hard to drive quick.
A few mags have backed this thought up, and to look at the Stig driving it, it looked a handful....... just my type of car

I reckon it would be an awesome car, pity its not dct or I would have had an order in.

I was thinking, 135i dct, lsd, coilovers, remap, would make an interesting little car.

Good compromise Shane.

I'm talking to my dealer tomorrow. Sorting my Dads new 535d. I may get side tracked back onto the 1M.
