My intrax started knocking recently as well, did a trackday in it anyway. when I changed the wheels over at the end of the day, so the car is jacked up, you could move the wheel vertically with ease, damper had failed...
Intrax sorted it v quickly, they asked me to send both the rears to make them identical.

now I have a creaking front, bizarrely it doesn't do it in the rain

I drove the car knocking from Paris to silverstone and back....may reassure you a little if you are still on the continent.
