Thank God for this thread. I was convinced that there were additional creaks since my subframe was repaired, but figured that it was somehow down to the cold weather or that I was highly paranoid. Am now going to undertake the fix. Cheers.

Well I took out my rear seats to do the fix today...

As it was sunny I thought I would have a quick blat with the seats out...creaking was worse!! So took out the rear carbon panels and corner trims and went back out.

Creaking / rattling still there so I am completely stumped, its coming from the boot / rear quarter something is not right as the car was fine before I had the subframe fix.

Going to have to ring Elms tomorrow as something is clearly not right at all, am gutted as its ruined my weekend.

Sorry to hear this mate, I hope it's nothing too serious.
I'll be realigning my back seat backs over the weekend myself as per Mark's notes.
Let us know of your progress.

MarkCSL's pictures of his cesil getting subframe treatment was a real eye opener/major undertaking with most of the rear of the car being stripped out

Elms will sort it no question, totally sympathise with you though, we are like expectant fathers when the cars away for a hospital visit. It's just plain bollocks when there's an issue post servicing/warranty work.

Update

After setting the seat backs you need to clean the seat back where it meets the parcel shelf plastic and also clean this when done close the rear seats

Then go into the boot and release the 2x 13mm nuts holding the seat they are under the parcel shelf just loosen them and the seat will sit where it needs to then tighten both nuts on both seats and take for a drive it should be nice and quiet
