Default CSL Sub-frame cracks

Hi guys,

Some of you may remember, I'm relatively new to the CSL world. And I was not cimpletely in love with my CSL in the beginning...

This is changing - with every mountain pass I thrash over :D

Anyway - I had a clunking that turned out to be diff output shafts and whilst at a seemingly good M dealer in Regensburg (birthplace of my CSL I believe!) I asked about the subframe epoxy repair.

The TIS doc he referenced says this was only a problem on pre-2000 E46 cars and thus I don't need it. I have asked him to investigate if it's worth doing on the CSL - just to be sure.

Here is a doc that supports his claims: http://www.simracing.no/e46fanatics/...bframe_tis.pdf

What do you guys think - any experiences with this?

Cheers

I believe that doc has been superseded and yes it is worth having your car checked

Here was the response from a BMW dealer in Germany:

"I talk about the auxiliary frame with the workshop master and he says that the repair ( Expoid? ) is not good for this car. The M3 have been a better auxiliary frame and with the Expoid is it maybe to hard."

They seem to not want to do the repair, even if I pay. I assume because, at least from their info, it's not necessary.

I used to get pissed off with my E36 M3 Evo for eating rear top mounts but I'd rather have that problem any day of the week! I could change them in 30 minutes flat... once even on a Ferry between between boarding and departure

Well, yes - but they're saying it's only for pre-2000 cars - and the only TIS document I found supports this - where is the updated version?
