My Euro trip Route So Far....
Whilst sitting on this oil rig offshore Malaysia not doing much i thought i would look at what i would like to do during our euro trip adventure.
As i plan on being in UK from middle of May to Middle of June for vacation i want to spend as much time in Europe as i can. So far i have come up with this. This is work in motion and nothing has been confirmed yet so any ideas or suggestions please say. Thursday 23rd, Harwich - Hook of Holland Ferry Depart 23:15 Friday 24th, Arrive at Hook at 7:15 am, drive to the Nurenburgring and check into the Tiergarten and meet up with the London Lot. Saturday 25th, 8am ish..... Drive to the Porsche museum at Stuttgart have a few hours there then onto Munich for the 6pm Shimmy check-in Sunday 26th & Monday 27th, BMW visits etc, Drive to Salzburgring Monday evening. Tuesday 28th, Trackday at Salzburg, Stay in hotel somewhere around Salzburg. Wednesday 29th - Friday 31st Follow Alex around some good driving roads, not sure where lol Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd June, Watch the MotoGP race at Mugello Monday 3rd June, Easy drive back to Hook Holland Spending night somewhere Tuesday 4th June, Arrive at Hook Holland ferry for 10pm crossing back to Blighty. Wednesday 5th, Land at Harwich am and head home. Map so far is here.... https://maps.google.com.my/maps?sadd...mra=pr&t=m&z=5

Thinking about getting these for the trip..... stay in contact, warn each
other of break downs, cops, traffic etc and even break the boredom of the long journey. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3903902311...84.m1423.l2649 They get good reviews on the web and will cost 4 of us only 12.50 each Who wants one???? 1, Bealo 2, 3, 4,

Hey Stu, I'd take a radio but not sure if itd be worth/safe enough me having one with the mrs in the car, I can imagine it now driving through Munich And all the small towns e route to Salzburg, Eyes Left, Eyes Left, Eyes right boys, know what I mean? Lol I imagine they'll be snapped up pretty sharpish by others on their jack jones though.
I'm making a bit of a journey of it too, from Northern Ireland. Overnight Ferry to Birkenhead from Belfast on the 17th, night at a mates on the 18th then another at Folkestone on the 19th, Chunnel to Calais morning of the 20th, 2 nights in the Champagne region before onto Monaco for 2 nights there leaving on the Friday. Hope to get the F1 practice in since its that weekend, I'm told. Then a night on lake Como, Varenna before final run to Munich on the Saturday to meet everyone there. Same craic as everyone else until after the TD then in two minds to spend another night in Salzburg with the troops before Shimmys previously mentioned drive to Nürburg over the Alps for a night at the Tiergarten and onto the Ring the Thursday before heading for the ferry on the Thursday night. Should be an Epic trip if the Mrs' back can stick the CSL seats for 2500 miles! How's the work offshore out there? I'm still in Brazil and although I've considered a change, I'm kinda at the stage of better-the-devil-you-know, and now grasping the language it's becoming not so bad. Let me know if they're looking a OIM out there anytime soon, lol |

For driving down to Mugello I'll research some Alp route solutions! Recommendations greatly received.
