CSL's still got it!
Thought I'd get the ol' CSL out from under it's cover, seeing as the sun is finally out. Nipped down to Simpson's to change a wheel speed sensor before Donny on Friday.
On the way back I dropped in on a mate who's got a 997 GT3 Gen 1. He's only driven an E46 M3 once back some nine years ago. He was never that taken with them. I always promised him a blast in the CSL and he finally had a chance today. Well, he didn't want to give the thing back to me! Said he was completely blown away with the balance, ease of driving, feel, grip and best of all noise! He's keeping the GT3 but will be shopping for a CSL in the Autumn to have some fun next year. The CSL still has that magic.

I'll never forget my 1st time and that painful running in, followed by 7 years of greatness. |
