Why is the Silver Grey CSL quicker than the Black??? or is this a fairytale

It's a well known fact that black is the SG cars look better as the CF stands out and as great drivers are artists, you tend to find that the SG cars are faster by default.

It's not the car, it's the drivers

Black absorbs more light, so gets heavier and slower. The SG is designed to reflect this weight away from the car.

I like to lull them into a false sense of security, mines SG underneath, but black on top.

You generally find that black cars have more ICE installs in the boot (large subwoofers etc) and the door skins/pockets converted back to regular M3 style to allow the carriage of an extra 20kg of Columbian marching powder. In addition to heat weight absorption due to colour and the middle age spread of the pilot, it's generally accepted that SB CSLs are actually heavier than SG regular M3's.
