Default Anyone waiting for a bumper?

Was a sandwich filling on the M25 (not my fault) and the extensive damage has been repaired by a dealer very near to Guildford. I am still waiting for a front bumper to finish things off, and was told another CSL was in the same situation as me in the same garage........anyone from here?

PS My accident was on May 15th. In Garage May 16th.....I've been waiting FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS!!!!

What does a CSL look like?

I've tried every emotion at the dealers, its just a wait and see. Of course I took it to a BMW dealer for repair 'cos they can get the parts, can't they?

Any advice?

Really miss the beast

not suprised, the front Csl bumper is totally out of stock at Bmw GmbH warehouse, stock has been sold to Bmw fans, or dealer using VIN numbers to acess and order the Csl part because they are 100% carbon, light and cheap compared to a spacial order or much better than second quality and fake carbon bumper.

Bmw need a certain amout of order to let make an other serial of bumpers and launch fabrication (done in slovenia of Csl parts)

it took me 3.5 month to get a carbon splitter...

Normally According to CEE and EEE laws, Bmw should be able to provide parts until 10 years after stopping the production of the model under an certain amount of time.

You can write and complain to bmw Munich about that, it's not normal to wait for sutch part for a car that had and has a certain value new/second hand, bmw might make a move for you in compensation

they should at least provide you a car for free when it's delayed over a month

to be honest I I had to wait that length of time I would be giving the dealer 2 options.

1) provide a similar performance courtesy car (Any M car would do)
2) give my car a standard M3 bumper so I could use it whilst waiting for the CSL one to come in.

After the accident, I had a replacement car provided by Accident Exchange. This was a 630i Sport Convertible with 50 miles on the clock. No complaints there! after about 3 and 1/2 months it needed a recall, so instead of arranging that, AE swopped the car for a brand spankers M3 Convertible (DCT etc), so no complaints there either!!
However, the insurers who insured the person who was at fault started squeaking to BMW after 5 Months about the amount they were paying (the M3 was just under £400 A DAY and the 630i a little less). Figure that out for 5 months!
Anyway BMW now supply me (2 weeks now) with a car which is an X3 2.0D.Not quite the same as recently driven but i'm enjoying the frugality!

Will a 'normal' M3 bumper fit?

He He!

Anyone know the BMW parts contact in Munich? I feel a direct approach is required, short of invading Poland.
