Bought myself a supersprintthingymajiggy
Tomorrow I am at my mates place, he builds exhausts.
The plan was to modify a standard downpipe/x pipe I had bought and make some back boxes, but I was trawling old ebay and found a nice supersprint race for sale, it was advertised a few times for 800 ish, no bites, then 700 no bites, then 600 and so on etc etc, I ended up getting it for £400 It was clean and almost brand new, bonus. So tonight I gave it a quick polish, see pics below, mattcslnumbnut style So tomorrows plan, modify the spare down pipes/x pipe I bought, then mate them to my nice new shiny supersprint. Keeping my full standard exhaust to put on if such occasion should arise. Cost- £100 for spare down pipe x pipe ( incidently is new) £400 supersprint race back boxes (like new) £100 to modify the down pipe-decat etc £600 all in, bargain IMO, far far cheaper than a akro, but hopefully it will sound nearly as good. Hopefully it will sound frickin mega. Sound clips to follow shortly guys ss1.jpg ss3.jpg ss4.jpg ss6.jpg ss7.jpg |

The plan was to dyno before and after to see if it gains any, but it will be as fast and as powerful as it will be, regardless of if I dyno it
I am not going to do any remaps etc etc as I want warranty in tact, so more for sound purposes. If it frees up a few ponies (as ss claim)(plus my decat should yield a few) its a bonus. No AP's going on, just upgrading the pads to xp10's to see how they handle it. Going for a ground control kit plus geo. Pilot cup sport tyres. Thats my mod list. I'm at croft in june, so will see how the big girl goes |
