Funny how modern BMW's grow on you after time! I remember ripping the E9X M3 to bits when released and now......................

They are great cars ... and I believe over time people will realise how good these are. It will also be the last of the NA BMW M engines.

Our local BMW instructor has a race car of one of these and it's creaming all sorts of other cars left right and centre. Loads of potential.

Oh and they are a great daily drive!!

exactly the same alex! Thought it was bogging - which actually it is. It desperately needs better wheels and susp and the right colour. But the above and top gears comp pack looked the bollocks.

The build quality appeals to me. The e90 320d we have is in a different league compared to the CSL in those terms

Kinda what Im thinking, as I avoid the CSL sometimes for an easy ride.

Two things that put me off :
Getting ridding of the CSL - its my baby and would love to shrink wrap and it have it forever
Depreciation.. I like my wee depreciation-free-buble that Im in

What it could look like (other than the ridiculous looking rear wing):

I needed a practical family car so got this. Awesome fun for daily use. Would have loved the coupe but not good with 2 kids but to be honest it drives exactly like the coupe and the look has really grown on me.
