Finally cleaned it
Well it was driven from Scotland to the Ring and back plus some laps in the worst rain I have ever seen, driven around locally for a month or so, laid up at my folks for a while through all the snow (under a tree) and has sat in the garage since begining of Dec uncovered.
To say it was in need of a clean is the understatment of the year. Spent some cash on a few detailing products in Dec from Polished Bliss which is something i have never done before so decided this weekend was the time for it. Sat morning the car got a hot wash to get rid of all the nasties. Then spent a good few hrs and Clayed the whole car. Sat afternoon through to tea time and today until 15:00 was spent with the machine polisher, various bottles of stuff and various pads working my way round it twice. Then sealed it all in with something else in a spray bottle. Fitted my new grills as i had popped both the front and side ones out for the polishing. Removed the black ones and re-fitted new original ones which i think look much better. Must apologize for the rep alloys but they are my sacrificial (pot hole) ones. Dont think i have ever seen the car look so good. Pretty chuffed as it's my 1st time trying something like this. The help and information i got from Clark at Polished Bliss helped no end Anyway a few pics |
