What's the best sounding exhaust ?
Have been running 100 cell cats and a Milltek - it's a bit boomy but can live with it - fancy a change - what's everyone's recommendation or are they all pretty much the same ?

Come to my gaff and listen to mine, 100 cell cats and titanium back box. having just sold a milltek from a normal m3 they are poor tbh, boomy and to me they lose the characteristic m3 noise. |

I'm running Super Sprint 100 cell Cats with Milltek MK2 back box on my CSL and I don't quiet understand all this boomy talk. Sure, it resonates a bit @ 3000 rpm, only when under load but that's mainly down to no boot sound deadening and the inner boot space acting like an amplifier/ boom box. I've added some light weight foam blocks under the boot floor and that seems to have taken the edge off the resonance.

They may have taken the edge off the boominess with the new design, although it may seem ok to you, as you bought the car with it on, but for some who have changed from standard to milltek it is quite a noise difference. |

Fair enough... I'd love to hear a standard CSL exhaust and then a full SuperSprint system, half of which I have on mine to compare. I hear good things about SuperSpring back boxes but not so about Milltek, though it looks lorvelly

I had the Miltek Mk.2 full system, boooooom-tastic, made worse with 100 cell cats.
I now run standard system (and standard cats) with SS Race Lightweight backbox - it amplifies the CSL 'rasp' nicely and is rather less droney than my old Miltek. Also looks better too imho, and passes noise testing with 97db at most places i have been - except Oulton where it was 101db?!
