One place you don't want to go 'economy' is in the brakes dept. If you have a CSL, do it properly or just go with fresh fluid, braided lines and a set of decent pads...

2nd that. If you don't go the whole hog then at least change pads, braided hose and good fluid.

I've done the Fluid and the hoses but the car had new Discs and pads all round recently.

However, was thinking about changing the fronts with some PF pads only, should I change all 4 corners ( I know I should ideally) or will I get away with just the fronts?
I know that some people upgrade to AP's on the fronts only from time to time so I can't imagine it being too much of an issue.

Thanks in advance. Good luck with your hunt, even used stuff holds a good premium mate.

Why do you need brakes on a car that doesn't go anywhere.

I'd go AP's or Alcons. Job done.

piss right off ,lol .
got the chance of some second hand alcon 6 pots for the front ,really cheap ,in mint condition ,sorted some brackets out too ,want advice on disc size ,width etc plus what to put on rear ,obviously i wont be skimping on any old crap but wont justify 3 to 4 grand on making it stop when i can do it cheaper with good used stuff

The size of disc will depend on the brake calliper thickness and the distance the calliper bracket holds the calliper from the hub

Performance friction get my vote on Discs
