Lightweight Aluminium Flywheel
OK guys been searching for a while now and nothing definitive.
My CSL is track only but I have kept the SMG. I am in need of a clutch upgrade and have decided to go with the Spec Stage 3+. Part number SB663FSMG. I was also looking at the Sachs racing metallic clutch kit but the spec has a better disc etc and is the same price. I am happy if anyone with experience of uprated clutches can change my mind! Lightweight flywheel is also on my mind. Spec make a steel one which is 20lbs, 5lbs lighter than stock and an aluminium one at 10lbs, 15lbs lighter than stock. Question is which one do I choose or is there something better!? I definitely want to get rid of the dual mass! Not concerned about noise or idle chatter, car is pure race car never street driven. Only concern is how will the SMG handle the lighter weight. No I don't use auto mode.....haha And yes.....I may consider doing manual conversion in the future if SMG can't cope. Cheers peeps! |
