Alternative wheels
Do any of you guys run a second set of wheels for the winter or for track days? If so do you run genuine CSL wheels or are there some decent aftermarket ones? I would intend to run the car year round, and whilst cup tyres would be great for the summer, I'm not sure I would fancy them in the winter, so I'm looking to see what the options are.

Shimmy/billy/adem/barry and a multitude of other jedi TD vets have run every combination known to the racing world. They will be along in a bit to share all. Last Spa outing Shimmy was running an 18" square set up. they look the biz. |

Same as him; Silver with super-sports, set of cups on the other and a set of Black BBS CH's with cups for posing, as I've never set foot on a track

Thanks guys. On the lookout for a set of spare wheels now. I will probably run Michelin Supersports on them. I have those on my current M3 and they seem pretty good.

Summer
19" CSL rims usually with MPSS on, now MPSC (from this week...) Winter 18" OEM M3 Alloys with Winter tyres on. But they barely fit over the AP's, weights are an issue. But....my car very so rarely gets driven now between Nov - March, so might sell the winter wheels/tyres. |
