Default PDC Problems

Good evening chaps,

I'm sure this is no CSL specific however, I thought I would post here first see if anyone can shed any light on my issue.

Engage reverse as normal, PDC beeps for a very long time even when nowhere near anything before stopping and not beeping at all when you walk around behind the sensors.

I've trying touching them to listen for the clicking but hear nothing on all 4 sensors. I'm hoping it's just one sensor...

Anyone any ideas?
Cheers.

It's just a sensor down mate, but you'll need to see diagnostic requests of the sensors to see which one is causing the issue if they're all clicking.

Bugger. At least it would appear to be a cheap repair. Would BMW warranty cover this issue or is this 'Wear and tear'?

I've had them fixed under the comprehensive warranty.

My 325 does that - usually after rain (so it does it a lot), I gather there's a short in the wiring under the bumper.

Looks like a warranty claim to be had. Nice one guys, at least I'll get to claim for something this year. Just a shame every dealer in NI is at least 45 minute drive for me. Never mind.

Cheers.

This is true, Actually had an epic drive back from Ballymena last time after the InspI, was good to be back in it after driving the E90 M3.

Car now booked in to get PDC sorted under warranty.
