Leaving car without battery
Hello,
Due to house renovations i'm moving my car to a neighbours barn for about 3 months. It's heated and dry but his insurance means i have to remove the battery (fire risk, apparently). So - my question is - can i leave the CSL for c.3 months without a battery. What will happen to it? Thanks Simon |

I was just reading through my service booklet as my car is due an oil service and I came across this regarding disconnecting the battery..
*If the car is laid up for any length of time with the battery disconnected, the owner must assume responsibility for changing the brake fluid in good time - every two years. The counter does not take such periods into account - the brake fluid continues to age regardless of whether or not the car is in service* I'm guessing this would be the same with the engine oil.... ie any time based services shown on the dash would be behind by however long the battery had been disconnected for is how I read it....
